Nice wee Christmas story - what it's all about (IMO):

My lad runs a taxi. One of the regulars is a wee old woman, all the drivers love her.

Lad picks her up from shops yesterday to take her home. They're talking about Christmas, she says her husband and daughter are both dead so no Christmas for her any more...

As my lad is telling me this it sounds so sad Having worked with the public for so many years I have seen this first hand.

My lad then says - "I've just bought her a box of biscuits and wrapped it, I'm going to hand it in to her later".

Well proud of my lad for doing that and I told him so.

Wish I could be with him this year but not happening!

Say HI to an old person this Christmas - you might just be the only one doing so!

Aye he turned out well, never had any problems with him and he's a grafter. He works his socks off and has done since leaving school. Yes, I've been lucky - and blessed.
