Cotton buds

#1 Post by Blackstuff »

Apparently they're single handedly destroying the planet, or rather the ones with plastic sticks that are flushed down toilets are 8-) Can't say I've ever seen one at a beach, river bank etc

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... -buds.html

Anyway, I purposely buy the Johnsons ones as they're the only ones (in my local shops anyway) that have plastic sticks, the paper ones are useless as you can 't put as much pressure on them. I use them regularly for getting in nooks and crannies of my guns so it looks like I'm going to have to stockpile some :bad:

Just thought I'd give a heads up in case you use them for cleaning your shooters too.

Essential for nooks and crannys in an AR receiver. Will also need to stock up. Put all of my used cotton buds in empty beer cans, because usually have a beer when cleaning guns, or ears.

I've heard rumours that they're also useful for debunging ear holes and other bodily orifices too, but personally I don't believe a word of it. teanews

I buy the ones from Lidls (£.35/300), normally stocking up when I am there or from Tesco (£.55/300), when I am not close to a Lidls.

Plastic of course.

Weird, the Tescos own brand I've seen a paper. I'll have to have another look, and a look at Lidls :good:
