EXEMPLARY CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM PIETTA!

#1 Post by Dark Skies »

A while back I came to service a very old Pietta Colt 1851 replica and duly bought a Pietta maintenance kit. When I came to fit the trigger I discovered it was too long and needed to be cut down - as well as being a different profile when compare to the trigger guard.
I emailed Pietta's customer service and explained the problem. Turns out that a few years back they tweaked the design and put a deeper trigger guard on - hence the longer trigger.

They offered to cut down the trigger for me and send it to me gratis. Being a tad cheeky I jokingly replied 'or you could send me the new guard so I can swap them over.' I heard nothing further by way of a reply to my email.

This morning I received this little lot in the post - new trigger guard, a trigger, and grips.
How's that for customer service!

Nice to see good customer service still exists and if you don't ask you don't get!

Indeed! That's the best part of £100 notes' worth of spares - almost as much as the revolver cost me. :)
Very generous of them and hugely appreciated.

Very little outlay for them, but it goes such a long way. And I'll guarantee the next front stuffer you're looking for, you'll look at Pietta first!

Very much the same reason why I almost exclusively use Warne mounts because of attentive of paid to customer service 20 years ago...
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Absolutely. I've always found them exceedingly helpful and prompt in answering questions for both my elderly pistols that, to be fair, I bought very second hand for not much money. So when I eventually buy new they'll be my first port of call.

Pietta have certainly come on leaps and bounds over the past few years, their guns are now at least as good as Uberti if not better in some ways and their customer support is excellent as you have found out. Uberti on the other hand is "I have yet to have positive experience with Uberti's customer service."
