Decent quality imperial drill bits.

#1 Post by Sim G »

Got a new trigger of one of the guys here for my Remy 700. Need a 0.125 or 1/8th inch drill bit to clean the "stake" from the fixing holes. Now that 1/8" bit equates to 3.175mm. The pin is precision ground for a slip fit in a 1/8" hole. I have 3mm bits and believe it or not, some 3.2mm drill bits, but nothing that is spot on.

None of my local places even stock imperial bits! FFS! They wonder why Brexit was voted for..... Damn that Frenchie measurement! lol
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

I have got a brand new Swiss Tech TiN tipped one here that you can have. Pm me your address and I will slip it in the post if you dont mind waiting a couple of days.
Either that or contact your local engineering suppliers (Cromwell tools etc) as they should have loads.
