I use Guhring cobalt drills for just about everything other than when Carbide is needed. They really are the only way to go.

Not as good as carbide however it has its place.

I have two metric Guhring drill sets in 0,5mm increments, one is 4 years old and one 18 months and none are missing or broken.

I find it difficult to keep a full set of any thing they just seem to be spirited away.
