60% do not submit a correctly filled out application and it is returned.

Hmmm...that is a very high number...either a lot of shooters do not pay attention or the form is so complicated that the applicants fail the test so to speak.

Maybe that should be the 'Wally stopper' fail the test and your application is automatically failed :)

Or they are over-zealous in finding something on the form they don't like such as wrong coloured ink etc.? Without the details we don't know.

Returned forms are a constant comment in my club....

Yep, most of them are "thick as mince". Just signing the bloody photograph causes issues!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

I know quite a few in TVP area and they are suffering the 6 month plus wait with one being 11 months! None of them have commented about applications being returned.

I applied to TVP for a variation two weeks ago and yesterday emailed one of the Senior Enquiry Officers to ask if they had received it.

I got a reply at 9pm last night to say it was being processed.

Credit where it's due, after their recent problems that's pretty good.

One thing I have noticed a few times with Lincolnshire is the 'out of normal hours' contact I have from our FEO, he often rings on a Sunday morning, leaves a message if I miss him and answers first ring when I call back. We have also had contact late in the evening so I would educe he is cracking in some long hours to keep up with things.

Is that a true variation or a one for one?

Being processed ... they have received it and it has been added to the 10/15/20 week tray!
