London Armoury is one of those names that has been through many iterations. The London Armoury that sold rifles to the American Civil War was different to the London Armoury that retailed shotguns in the early 1900s..both of which are different operations to the one (or two!) mentioned here.

I have a nice old English shotgun made in Birmingham in the mid twenties but private labelled for the London Armoury. When I was looking up the history the number of premises and owner changes was mind boggling, even up to pre WW2.

As a newish shooter and relative youngster (ha! I said relative) I look in wonder at the OPs ad and can't believe it was the case in the early nineties. No wonder ex pistol shooters are still fuming.

MY "London Armoury" guns are Beaumont-Adams percussion revolvers from the 1850s ! I also have an LAC "War Office Miniature rifle, M1907".

I moved to London in 1989 and visited his shop.
I think I spent about 11 seconds in there and left feeling I'd just had the most disappointing human interaction of my life.
