Hi
As a member of the NRA I have their built in insurance through Endsleigh Insurance and it is adequate for my main shooting needs.
However, I have a couple of older rifles that are increasing in value. The NRA/Endsleigh standard cover is not quite enough for me and Endsleigh are quite awkward to deal with and not really offering what I need.
Has anybody recent experience with other insurance companies - is it best to keep it firearms separate from home insurance?
Thanks
Insurance

Re: Insurance
We do keep ours separate from the home insurance however I see no reason to do so, it is just the way it turned out here.
Not sure if they do it but guncover.co.uk is worth asking.

Re: Insurance
TESCO Home Insurance covers firearms up to £2000 per firearm.
Anything above that value would need to be declared and an additional premium paid.

Re: Insurance
Potentially stupid question here, but do the insurance products offered by the NRA, BASC etc cover you for lost/non-wear and tear damage to equipment? Say you somehow manage to drop your S&B scoped rifle and the objective lens shattered?

Re: Insurance
Just renewed mine with Direct Line and there is a single article limit of £2500 for valuables which covers shotguns and firearms both inside and outside the home.
Remember, we're all here because we're not all there!
