Rem 700 stock replacement

#1 Post by 20series »

Peeps

I'm possibly in the market to change the stock on my Rem 700 Short action

I'm out the loop a bit so can I have suggestions please, it must have ...

A.. Easily adjustable length of pull and cheek riser so i can adjust for me or Debs to shoot on the firing point without messing with spacers etc

B... Ability to accept a wide barrel as mine is rebarreled .. not sure diameter at moment

C... Anschutz Rail for my mk1 Shooting Shed Bipod

D... accept AICS mags

Cheers
Alan

GRS Berserk wouldn't break the bank...
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Had one here a while ago albeit briefly and it looked to be of the typically superb GRS standard and sensibly priced as well.

Another vote for the GRS, they have an almost ineffable feeling of solidity in the hands too.

It's something like a Sako stock between the hands, the way the palm swell fits the hand, that sort of thing, but more so and with an excellent thumb shelf.

I have a modified System Geminii for sale if you are interested. I was planning on putting it on my R700 VSSF, but just cannot justify it right now. Drop me a PM if you are interested.

What about http://www.blackrifle.co.uk/MDT-LSS-Cha ... dt-lss.htm

I have just purchased one for my Ruger American (.22LR). I too am considering a 'fettled' Remington 700 in .223 and also wondering which chassis/stock to use.
