Lock but never delete policy ?

#1 Post by breacher »

As I understood it, there was a "lock but never delete" policy here ? I remember asking for a thread I started to be removed and was given that answer.

Yet, when I tried to view Maggots farewell post ( cached I guess ) I got an error message telling me I did not have permission to view it - then it disappeared ?

Just curious why ?

Breacher, it was hidden and it seems that I am doing that a lot these days because some people simply will not leave it.

That people choose to leave this forum in public says more about them than the forum.

Ok thanks for the info - I had not seen what came after my post - it seemed like a pleasant enough goodbye up to that - maybe I missed something later ?

Breacher, it's the distinction between deleting and blackhole'ing. Moving it to a folder no one but admins can see and deleting entirely makes no difference to us commoners.

Maggot's gone?!

What happened?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Don't know he posted that he was leaving. Said goodbye then the post disappeared.
