Range Bags

#1 Post by Gh0st »

Did a quick search and came up empty handed.

Looking for a new Range bag. What are people currently using?

Needs to carry basics. (Ears, Eyes, Small tools)

Belt, Mag holders for belt, 10/22 x 6, LBP x 4, mags as well.

Plenty of ammo.

Not keen on lots of external pockets.

Fishing Bags are a great shout. How do the straps hold up to the weight ?

After the first outing I had to stitch the shoulder straps as they were what you would expect for a cheap bag. Bo probelms since.

I like that it is also a seat when there is none available.. Old bones..

If you want proper range designed kit you'll be hard pressed to beat the First Tactical Recoil Range Bag

I use one of these. Lots of magazine / ammunition box sized pockets lining the inside of the bag. Useful zip closing polythene pockets for documents and range notes. Solid base for heavy stuff.

Mine doesn't have the external pouches - which I prefer.

Plenty of choice out there, I currently use a snap on tool box (plastic one) it's great if I'm just taking one of the guns to the range, but two (of different Calibres) is too tight for space

i use one of these, well I have two now
https://www.police-supplies.co.uk/polic ... patrol-bag

side pocket is great for a4 sized targets, end pockets have cleaning bits including small sprays, and ear / eye pro. main pocket takes tools one side of the divider, mtm ammo boxes fit nicely, same as 0.7l really usefull boxes. shoulder straps haven't broken yet, but bag has been heavy enough to write off cheap ones. and the flap reveals elastic for breech flags, pens and markers. my cowboy holster fits nicely on top too
