I tried posting this....

He didn't like it.

"What a bunch of paranoid bed-wetters! This is not a serious article, it's an attempt to create a sensationalised story to spread fear and alarm. There are undoubtably some legitimate gun owners who do fall short of the standards and they should be dealt with accordingly. But the concept that an individual is, based on employment or possession of legal items, somehow intrinsically violent and a risk to society is laughable! Are all men to be regarded as rapists because they have a penis, or all women to be regarded as prostitutes for their anatomy includes breasts and a vagina?!

Hoplophobia, look it up."
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Don't give him any attention, you can find several of his petitions being discussed in the Scottish parliament.

It is quite funny, the MSP usually rolls his eyes and states "We have had a petition from a Mr Peter Cherbi".

He is almost as loony as Peter Dow:

I have been trying to find the origins of Mr Cherbi's grudge, I did find this article on the BBC website from 2000 about a Peter Cherbi that is fairly odd. Unusual name so a good chance it is him, going on what the article says it smells of him early on his journey down the Rabbit hole and the start of his grudge:

There are almost too many gems in the comments to be able to choose, but this is just priceless:

Yep that's it! A sad story really the combination of a man prone to complaining about everything happens to use a dodgy lawyer to pursue a legal case that frankly has little chance of going anywhere considering it is based on hearsay! Notice he had asked the lawyer to pursue multiple cases, my guess every other more sensible one told Mr Cherbi to go away but one bad fruit desperate for money is enough to set off this sorry and pitiful state of affairs. Mr Cherbi seems to think he is owed £300,000 for his fathers estate, my guess that is a self calculated figure that is suspiciously close to the Scottish inheritance tax threshold. The story of his dispute with the borders hospital over his mothers death rings all sorts of alarm bells. His story that he had to hold down his mother in a lead lined suit contrasted with the Hospital staff saying he shouldn't even be in the room.

Not heard of a lead suit being provided in hospitals before - on the rare occasions staff are in the X-Ray room during use they wear a lead lined apron.

I can sympathize somewhat with his displeasure with lawyers. I'm currently dealing with a large Manchester firm handling a simple, uncomplicated, motoring claim (other party's insurers accept liability) which they deign to peep at every four months or so just to screw it up that little bit more.

In fact, come to think of it, every time I engage a professional lawyer for even the simplest task they manage to arse things up and turn it into Jarndyce v Jarndyce to boot.
I must have missed the module at university where law students were instructed how bugger up and prolong the simplest of tasks in order to string out fees.
I can see how their antics could make Mr Cherbi insane. I may go the same way. :)

Is there a possibility he's on a list of vexious litigants by this stage due to how many times he's wasted the courts time?
