I will share my thoughts as its a free country and I will try not to inflame people, I believe that people should publish their allegiance to particular brands and companies if they work in or influence the gun trade in any way, be it newsgroups / forums / RFDs.
Re: Confused (i know its easy)
Meanwhile I don't think people should have to post their links to brands and businesses unless they are making comment about a product/service linked to that brand or business.
As was previously stated by someone else, most people in the industry are also shooters who come to forums like this to discuss stuff just like the rest of us. As long as they aren't trying to secretly peddle their wares and covertly influence people then why should they have to declare it?
I wouldn't want my customers to come and start pestering me when I am out doing social things, so why should it be any different for a business employee or owner on a web forum?

True i suppose as long as the vendor is honest ,and a few on here are open about the position and it doesnt seem to bother them .

Re: Confused (i know its easy)
In terms of the original intent of the thread, I don't think that something in the signature is necessary. I just think that people who post vague, trolling posts about stuff that they claim to be getting, which would be welcomed with open arms by the community, who then go on to post nothing of any significance, only teasers make their own bed and have to lie in it.
It serves no purpose to the forum and these people should be treated as the trolls that they are.

Yeah I suppose it's like those websites that claim that new phones will have certain specifications and dates they will be launched... clearly terrible for the world wide community.
Has anyone looked up the definition of a forum lately.
"a meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.
"we hope these pages act as a forum for debate"

You mean websites that tell you which vendors are releasing which phones and which dates.Gh0st wrote:Yeah I suppose it's like those websites that claim that new phones will have certain specifications and dates they will be launched... clearly terrible for the world wide community.

Funny you haven't provided date, vendor or specifications. Bad example.
What it amounts to is that you've suggested that someone is going to be launching something (based on a glock, but have provided no proof when met with proof that Glock do not provide frames or frame kits) at some point. but then not followed it up with anything. So it's meaningless.

Well I'm an avid apple fan for my sins. Love reading macrumors and the likes. But I don't hold it against them when suggestions are wrong don't come to fruition.
If you peruse forums like those there's tons of speculation.
No one is forced to believe what is written here. It's up to you what you chose to believe.

And I believe you're a troll and will proceed to treat you as such until you post something of validity or worth.Gh0st wrote:Well I'm an avid apple fan for my sins. Love reading macrumors and the likes. But I don't hold it against them when suggestions are wrong don't come to fruition.

Even when in the other thread people ask you direct questions, you sent them off to read a fruitless thread with nothing but speculation with no shred of details knowing full well it would not answer the question asked.
I can't tell if it's deceitful ignorance or blind stupidity.
Unless you've not noticed, this site is not macrumors, and the vast majority of posters here quite like tangible factual information, as opposed to vacuous speculation.
