Does this mean you can decide what calibre to shoot over the land which you deemed yourself safe to shoot over?
Or..... do you have to know what calibres plod has granted the use of over that land and stick within those calibres?

Hmm. It’s up to your wording but if it’s what most people think an open ticket means, it’s your choice provided the firearm in question is listed as being for the purpose of shooting live quarry.

As above, it depends on the wording of the condition. Before the AOLQ condition came about it was usually governed by the type of animal/species that was also mentioned in the condition e.g. Fox, deer etc.
