Consultation results? "Dead in the water"????

#1 Post by HH1 »

Over on the facebook group "English Shooting" someone has said that the Consolation is dead in the water.

Does anyone have an update on the current situation ?

As a owner of a 9mm LR I'd like to know....

Dead in the water may simply mean that the government has decided the findings of the consultation does not support their agenda and will instigate the ban regardless...
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Surely government doesn't work that fast...Happy days if the consultation is dead in the water, even though it could be said that we, as a nation, have more than adequate firearm's legislation already.

Obviously they didn't like the response.

As Simon says that won't necessarily stop the ban.

I wouldn't pay much attention to what is posted on that particular page, I've seen some pretty toe-curling stuff on there.

The 'official' response date of "the end of March" hasn't even passed yet so unless someone knows someone in the consultation team I would file that firmly in the pinch of salt category. teanews

That puts me in a rather awkward position - she loves me doing it. :)
