Birmingham Commonwealth Games - Omission of Shooting

Many shooters from many disciplines are hitting this page, reviewing it (one star!) & expressing their disappointment that Brum the home of the GB arms industry as was, has totally omitted all shooting sports from the Commonwealth games there in 2022. ****

In the last few days GB competitors have bagged no less than 11 medals in the games including a clean sweep of full-bore target rifle England Gold, Wales Silver & Scotland Bronze.

Some here might want to voice their view that shooting is being politically omitted form the games & how that will impair GB teams medal prospects & exclude some small island nations where shooting is their only participation or medal prospect. Not to mention the only sport where inclusion literally does mean all ages from 10 to 90, all 3 sexes & abilities / many disabilities, who all compete equally on a level range. & although not in the CW - for Fullbore target rifle GB are the top of the game having beaten the USA on their home ranges & are the only sport where Germany regularly come last!

Hit It & hit it hard, bangbang

People are still using farcebook?!?!?! :o

Do people never learn, no wonder the world is in the state it is with people getting stupider by the generation.

That is why shooting will disappear as an Olympic and commonwealth event.

Stuck my 2 cents worth in. Not that these people will listen of course. These stupid prejudiced individuals only acknowledge their own point of view.

It looks like they pulled the star ratings and all associated posts.

I've just been on there and saw that - guess they didn't like what was there, and now they need to run away and hide in their safe space.

Inclusion is selective to them - they only include those they agree with.

It may be petty, but I sort of had to do this just now.
