Calcium carbide
Does anyone know of a sensibly priced source of small amounts of calcium carbide? I need some for a blacking lamp and it all seems to be 1Kg plus which is probably ten times more than I will ever need.

Weirdly enough, eBay (250g was the smallest amount I could see);

Now I need to see if I can find some spare seals for my premier before I resort to making one from scratch :)
