Hard case and drag bag recommendations please for AI AX

#1 Post by Dellboy »

Hard case and drag bag recommendations please
Have an ax 308 26inch barrel with a folding stock on its way
What drag bag would people recommend (with stock folded?)
Also what hard cases to allow it to be transported on a plane or is a drag bag acceptable?

AIM drag bag for folders - they've made it wider (expandable) at the butt end to accommodate a folded stock.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

Never never never take a rifle on a plane in a soft case. Never.
(unless it's the kind of plane where your rifle is hand luggage).

An Aluminium Accuracy International transit case is the only way forward for flights and is what I used when I shot abroad.

Agreed. I have one for my Cyclone and it's great.

Don't forget to specify which way your stock folds as the cases are handed left/right.

Kalispel do a lovely hardcase. Like a civvy version of a military transit case.
