The NAEC was cold and muddy but had its charm, used to go to the annual militaria fair until it stopped being value for money.
One British shooting show I decided to pay extra for the 'executive' parking due to the cold muddy walk in previous years only to be directed to the regular parking despite my protestations on arrival by the rather disgruntled gate staff. Apparently lots of other people had got the same idea and they had oversold it!

Re: "Great" British shooting show
We saw that on the first year of Stoneleigh Park so we had a long walk and even worse, they threw the doors open and stopped charging as the day went on. That was the last show I ever went to and I doubt I will ever go to another, despite knowing the organiser of the Northern Shooting Show very well.Fedaykin wrote:One British shooting show I decided to pay extra for the 'executive' parking due to the cold muddy walk in previous years only to be directed to the regular parking despite my protestations on arrival by the rather disgruntled gate staff. I did wander round the tent at the Phoenix (I was there for a shoot anyway) but I wouldn't drive 75 miles and pay to go into any of what are basically just temporary shopping malls.
I'd rather spend my money on reloading consumables and range time...............
