It took me literally 5 minutes to take that picture off the forum resize it and re post it.
I don,t get it I really don,t get it. I have said it before and I say it again its a simple thing to do.
If a 68 year old decrepit guy can cope with it WHAT is the problem with posting pictures.

Exactly, post a size reduced one unless the hi definition is needed.

The original is also easy to big on a laptop with additional screen.

Funnily enough, thats exactly the scenario I was doing with my one, was part'exing my 30-06 for the 7.92x57 with a RFD, not that they mentioned any time limit between the two, but in fairness to the Met, they also let me off the 20 quid as well (as long as I didn't do it again)

Even though there is no time limit in law and the Guidance specifically mentions this fact.

Let them get away with it and it will become the way things are done. Have a polite conversation pointing out the reasons why and things usually come round to the correct way of doing it. I know the police have wide powers to interpret the Guidance but there has to be a valid reason why they decide to go against HO best practice and Guidance.

Whenever I have done a 1-4-1 in the past I always say "On Disposal of" (the firearm I wish to sell) and the one I wish to buy. Never been a problem for Aberdeenshire. Lets you keep your gun and replace it without having to wait for a variation after you sold it.

Am I correct in thinking that you can 1-4-1 a moderator for a firearm? I am sure I saw this discussed and is the only reason I requested to have them on my license.

In theory you could 1-4-1 a .22LR Moderator for a .50BMG rifle!

I doubt that people who can afford to buy and run .50BMGs are that bothered about paying, or not paying, for variations, except on grounds of principle.
