GMP 1-1 variations

#1 Post by Geek »

Just thought that it was worth recognising that GMP turned round my 1-1 variation is under two weeks which I didn't think was too bad (I did speak to them before I submitted it and was advised four weeks). Although, they did charge me £20 since its over 30 days since I sold my rifle and moderator!

However, my son's new FAC application is on hold since they are not accepting any new FAC applications until further notice. However, we have been trying to obtain the medical note for my son's application for months (our GP won't do it).
Regards,

You should not have paid the fee. The fee is only chargeable when the variation of the certificate increases the number of firearms held. One for one variations no longer have a “time limit” from when they are submitted.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Interesting, I sold a rifle and moderator (well part exchanged with a dealer) and added two rifles (.44 and 6BR).

I did a one for one nearly a year after I sold the rifle, there was no charge.

GMP's policy is that they won't do a one-for-one after 30 days of selling a rifle.
At least that's what they keep telling me.

There is no fee. And no time limit to request the slots back, although leaving it until the renewal time could mean a bit of an explanation as to why.

I'd ask for my money back.
Arming the Country, one gun at a time.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.
