Semi-auto centrefire....just wondering....

#1 Post by walesdave »

Normal Sunday afternoon....not much to do so the mind starts wandering.... teanews

Anyhow....I was looking at some Section 7.1 and 7.3 pistols online and it struck me that you don't see any 7.1 or 7.3 rifles, which raised the question, could an 'historical' semi-auto centrefire rifle be owned under the 7.1, 7.3 sections?

I'm sure I could find out with a bit of Google-fu but to be honest it's too much effort :good:

In short no, that's why you don't see any 7.1/7.3 rifles.

S7.1 and 7.3 are under the auspices of the 1997 Amendment. There was no such section in the ‘88 Amendment Act, all went straight to s5.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
