Daily Fail invents a new class of firearm!

#1 Post by walesdave »

In 35 years of shooting I've never come across a 'Long bore rifle' before; thank goodness I've got the Daily Fail to educate me...

The sidebar piece with input from 'Kent Gunsmiths' makes for interesting reading as well.....

Superintendent Cutler added today: 'Sadly we believe this to be an isolated incident we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident'

Really? Sadly???

Surely Superintendent Cutler didn't mean that..... 8-)

Ban them all or else restrict them. There is no earthly reason for anyone to own a Long Bore Rifle. Can these even BE licenced??

This type of incident & reporting is what will lead to Air Weapon licencing as happened in Scotland.

And note the absurdly huge police presence pandering to the occasion and happy to knowingly add to the disinformation.

They're also calling it "a long-barrelled gun" now.

"Gun expert Neil May said long barrel firearms usually refers to rifles.

'A long barrel firearm would typically be a rifle that fires an single centre shot"

So......a long bore rifle that fires AN single centre shot from a long barrel!!!???.

So would a rimfire be "an single off-centre shot?
