Well Done Thames Valley Police

#1 Post by jimbo303 »

Felt I had to mention this - Variation sent on Tuesday 25th August for a new Slot not 1 for 1, and recieved by TVP the following day.

Wednsday 2nd September - had a call late afternoon just to talk through reason etc.

Wednesday 9th September - New FAC landed on dooor mat.

So excluding a Bank Holiday exactly 2 weeks from Posting to Receipt.

What is even more surprising is that the Cheque hasnt yet been Cashed or showing on my Bank as pending transaction !!

Good effort from TVP !

Nice. Been waiting 2 weeks and 3 days and still waiting for Devon and Cornwall. They were 48 hours pre-covid.

Just out of curiosity, why did they call to talk about the reason?

My variation was 12 days from door to door with TVP. For an addition of 30-06 Amazing what they can do...

C-V

The reason For the call was just about ascertaining why I requested a further Firearm, and primarily because I am on the cusp of when they might require a monitored alarm etc. In essence just sensible checking on their part which I have no issue or objection to.

Just be straight and listen and have a rationale and be clear.

All Forces have a variance of interpretation of Guidelines.

The most surprising thing was that my Cheque has not been cashed - this used to indicate that the process of a grant or variation was entering the system and the process was starting. Maybe it was separated and I have an extra £ 20 towards Boolits ?!?!
