Its why I gave up voting for any of them years ago.

I always hope that one day, someone will stand up wanting to be counted enough that I can say "you'll get my vote".....but after over 20 years waiting, I've pretty much give up hope of ever seeing that happen. They all seem to be far worse than ever nowadays.

Voting for them only encourages them. Wanting to be an MP should be grounds for lifetime disqualification!

The only thing ANY of them stand for is re-election - and lining their own pockets!!
Political Correctness is the language of lies, written by the corrupt , spoken by the inept!

Great you have pointed out a problem, most/all politicians aren't worth voting for.
What is the solution, one that give us a better position than we are in now?

So are you suggesting that all politicians have a "term limit" like US Presidents?

ide like to see a lot more than that, minimum age 50,had to have had a job for at least 20 years (a real job) get paid expenses only, no pensions, only allowed to serve 5 years in Parliament in total, i feel with those basics in place, the good people of this country have a chance...... Where as most things at prrsent are dictated to us by the old etonians and schoolboy network.

Our previous MP was a local business man, reasonably successful, and he asked if he wanted to stand when the incumbent died suddenly. He had never been in politics, yes a member of the local Conservative party but that was all. He was seen as the best candidate over and above those with "experience". He served until he felt he had done enough and was tired of it as well as knowing a change would be good. When he stood down, our constituency was considered "safe" so a non-local was parachuted in and he has never lived locally and continues not to do so, 10 Downing Street being his preferred address.

I agree there should be so form of "pre-qualification" and "time limit" but how do you implement that without people saying it is discriminatory?
