Why can’t police forces in England and Wales enforce firearms law the same in every city and county?

Heck, here in NZ enforcement and interpretation varies from city to city - and we only have the one police force.

There are 43 in England & Wales....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

If your are serious about this question then the Police forces are the people to ask, we have no real knowledge as to why they are the way they are, we only know the effects of the way they are. All we can do is speculate as to the why and speculation is a futile waste of time that will give no factual answers. Even although some people do seem to find such futility "fun".

I have tried to explain to you before about your approach, firing out these leading questions is in no way supporting your claims as to your purpose. Which to the membership here comes over as inciteful.

Many of the answers you seek are in the public domain as official reports and sound research on the subject, those should be your primary sources surely along with the institutions involved the police and the Home Office and for the gun owners then bodies such as the Gun Trade association, BASC and the Bitish Shooting Sports Council would give far more informed information than the piecemeal opinionated experiences of a small minority of UK gun owners on a forum.

Your approach to this subject does not support your claims as to your why and as such just breeds suspicion as to your agenda and who you are.

The nature of your posts, language and content also raises doubt about your literary ability to actually author a book. You come over as a not very bright, hack scumbag journalist whose first language is not english looking for some cheap sensationalist copy. Hence the paucity of response and criticism from the forum membership.

You will either have to up your game as far as how to "research" if you are as you claim and if you are not as you claim then you have no place here.

Either way this current slew of questions and approach is totally unacceptable here and is getting you nowhere. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result as a consequence is said to be a sign of madness and you definitely fulfill that criteria here.

I think a rest from posting is in order to allow you to reflect as to your purpose, as whatever it is posting here as you do is not delivering for you as a genuine researcher, hack scumbag journalist or just a shite stirring troll.

Considering it's 25 years (13 March) since the sad tragedy in Scotland that resulted in the pistol ban, I have no doubt that the gutter press are looking for a headline quote from a shooting forum to put us in more bad light.

Stop picking on lovemovies22 - he said he was only going to write about firearms in England.
So the worst that he can do is upset part of the U.K. He's not intending to upset us all. :good:

Unless he's one of those people who confuses the U.K. with England. :flag13:
