Sounds very familiar teanews

Asked me if I had a Sec2 Benelli s/no xxxxx, said no I sold it 6 months ago and sent you a record

Next variation I got my Fac back with my Benelli Sec1 missing from it, rang them up and no idea where it went!, 2-3 weeks later they discovered some idiot had transferred it to my SGC record!

First 6.5 Creedmoor they would only give me 150 rounds because someone in the office said that was all you could have for 6.5mm! I aked if the 500 I had for the 260 Rem were OK, yes, no problem, weren't happy when I explained that was also 6.5mm, took 2 more attempts to get it sorted.

And so it continues . . . . I just submitted a renewal for one of my clubs elderly members who doesn't do online or even have a mobile, got a reply from yet another new member of the department who's just started there. The high turnover of young untrained staff in a firearms department is truly worrying.

After getting an email back that's where my lever-action shotgun and spare barrel had gone too, onto my SGC. Plainly done by someone who doesn't know what a S1 shotgun is. As you say, very worrying. :bad:

I had both my S1 shotguns entered onto my SGC (unbeknown to me) - when I got a later variation back, I still had authority to buy two S1 shotguns on my FAC.

The little devil on my shoulder was sorely tempted to buy another two, until the sensible angel made me contact licensing and make them correct their error

I would have asked for them to transfer them back AND leave the two new slots!

Er, no its not! When we had the authority shuffle in the early 90's we did away with as many of the undesirables such as t'pool, Shiney Row and Birtley...... teanews

(Actually what really happened is those areas voted to leave Durham! lol )

But yes, as per the staff, the last two people I spoke to sounded young enough to be on work experience there :squirrel:

Birtley thankfully left durham in the 1974 re-organisation to become part of Tyne & Wear.

Oi! No foul language, this is a family friendly forum! Tyne & Wear?! An abomination! North of the Tyne Northumberland, South of the Tyne, French...
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!
