I have one of these, its an excellent bag and can take a 12" barrelled AR without splitting it or up to 18" barrel split.

Price seems to have gone crazy though, I think it was £100 when I got mine.

This budget option will take a 12" barrelled AR split and is available in every colour under the sun:

it all depends on the size of your rifle really, this should fit around a 16" barreled upper, has good reviews, and looks totally non descript

I've seen people using tool bags,

46" Makita tool bag

https://www.buyaparcel.com/makita-46-1- ... gIxivD_BwE

620mm Raaco Tool Box

https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/tool-boxes/7740433

Fencing

https://www.pbt-uk.com/acatalog/Bags.html

or Hockey bags

https://www.sportsdirect.com/slazenger- ... e=86302545

or

Possibly stage equipment bags

https://www.terralec.co.uk/padded_bags_ ... gJhqfD_BwE

The tool boxes and more expressive sports bags indicate something other than firearms..

I have two rucksack style guitar bags which I used for many years to transport my rifles around before i got my car.
the first was lass than a tenner from amazon and lasted a couple of years before the metal clip for the strap failing.
the 2nd cost about £20 and has lasted for about 3-4 years now.
However if you put the bag down the wrong way musicians may come up to you to tell you your damaging the guitar as one of my friends found out.
