Two Sites

There are definitely two versions of teh site running and depending on how I log on decides which one I get ...

On the "other version" I posted (at around 18:40) that posts in te Sony Bravia thread were missing ... From here, I can see the posts but my "where are the posts" thread is not here ...

From my phone I can access both - 3G to get one and WiFi to VDSL for the second.

Polchraine - this is most odd :G

I got bumped about 10 mins ago (from the version of the site where it looks like the posts are missing) and when I signed back in...I'm back to this one (infact just got a PM that someone had said they'd sent me on the 'other' site) :?

Bobbob is on the 'other' version saying she is having dejavous :lol:

OK - who else is on this version?

Yes, I am seeing the same when I try to log on with my boing.

It is really frustrating but nothing I can do about it, the propagation will take up to 72 hours, so we are not out of the woods yet.

Not your fault Christel - these things happen...

So which one should we post on - I can only see 1 at a time, and it seems to be pot luck for which one I get (which is making me feel like I've lost it like Bobbob :lol: ) when I log on. Do you think (i know hard question) that they will 'merge', or will we lose one version?

Sooo... They migrated us to a new server and left the old one running, they started the DNS propagation and some of us were pushed to the 'new' site and started posting, meanwhile they then took a final backup of the old site and copied to the new and the posts that had gone to the new site were lost as it was replaced with a last back up of the old one.

Is everyone with me so far?

I am inclined to think we might be about done now and I am going to head off to bed and try and forget this ever happened. Lets hope we still have a forum come the morning... :lol:

Think of the luxury, a fast new server :goodjob:
