Zero range at Bisley
I'll be picking up a new toy from Fultons tomorrow and would like to zero it. What is the procedure for booking a lane on the zero range? I'm not an NRA member - will that be a drama?
Anyone else about in the early-to-mid afternoon? PM me if you will be and we can meet up!
Cheers,
Dr. S

Dr,
This is a bone of contention, but as a non NRA member you can not use the zero range. Fulton's should have an arrangement with the NRA but I can imagine their faces should you ask them to do it for you.
Or you could join the NRA?

edit: Are you a member of a NRA affiliated club? You would need someone to phone up in advance to book the lane in the name of the club - I believe - might be wrong,

When I picked up a rifle from Fultons, I went into the range office and asked for a lane on the zero range, no prebooking, paid my £4 for 7.62 card and off I went, job done. Not asked for a card or anything..
You should be ok.

Took me a minute Christel but I think I'll do just that! I'm a member of LERA, not sure how happy they'd be with me using their name like that!
I'll just act as if I'm allowed to be there, confidence is key!

Re: Zero range at Bisley
no need to worry about booking, like Bnz41 says just roll up and as for a card, they may ask for a SCC, one tip, if you are using a highmag scope, then get someone to spot for you, as it can be a bugger to spot the shot if it is off the card, in fact try and get someone with eyesight to spot for you, as the last time I used it the guy spotting sent me all over the shop before I twigged he was clueless

Re: Zero range at Bisley
If I am lucky I may get my 9mm back tomorrow and if I am allowed to, will try it out on the zero range, so if you see a SGC Lever release being fired say hello,
God luck,
