Bisley this weekend

Re: Bisley this weekend
Tried that, I will send you some pictures of my bruises if you like?
Truthfully, I am to blame, Because this old fool forgot, (busy taking about half an inch off the necks of some new Winchester .284 brass and other reloading related stuff) to do the washing, Viv insisted on going out to do it.
So she sat in a cold draughty room all afternoon yesterday and, as a consequence, her hacking cough, absent for two days (I'm feeling much better) kept us both awake most of the night.
So I have chained her to the bed (stop it!) in the hope that she will improve.
We have to go to Plymouth on Thursday after the Fungunners shoot, so she needs to be on the mend.

How bad does the weather have to get before the range has to close?
Wishfull thinking Im afraid! Don't really fancy shooting in a Gail with the waves lapping at the edge of my shooting mat!!

That was a lot of information to share :lol:John25 wrote:Tried that, I will send you some pictures of my bruises if you like?.............. I have chained her to the bed
Hope she is fit and well for the Plymouth trip where it is sure to be raining...
Re: Bisley this weekend
If there is lighting, they stop; if you can't clearly see the targets because it's raining so much, they pause; if someone gets pressure problems because their wet weather routine has failed, they will consider stopping.MartinS wrote:Just through interest!

Otherwise, be sure you have some dry clothing to travel home in

That clears it up for me so it looks like I'm going in my wetsuit then!!
Spare clothes is a good idea!
Re: Bisley this weekend
If it was warmer I would shoot in shorts and get wet. However 12C is definitely not warm enough. I am on Century Sat. morning and Stickledown in the afternoon, I just hope I can see the target!! Is anyone else shooting TR (proper shooting) , or are you all F class?
Re: Bisley this weekend

Besides, Miss Fancy Wellies doesn't have room in her mini palma for 'proper' guns
Quite happy to have an F Class part of the match as long as you can get at least three teams to compete
Next year maybe?

Re: Bisley this weekend
Untrue!
I asked, three years ago, you told me to go and make a cup of tea!

Edit,
Truthfully folks, I hope it isn't as bad as currently, wind bending the trees, I Mean bending, and raining so that I can only just see the NRA workshops about 150 yards away.
Weather like this turns our sport into a farce because the conditions are so abysmal, it spoils kit, ruins elevation and disheatens even the most hardy.
I would not get my gun out of the bag in this weather.
So I sincerely hope that it is better tomorrow and Sunday and wish you all the best of luck.

I'm sure you will pop out for a gossip at some point won't you - tea, strong, a little milk, no sugar
Love you sweetie
