Back on track for a moment, how about a dedicated .308 bolt face firing pin protrusion gauge, just zero, hook it under the extractor claw and off you go. It works with larger bolts as well.

Very kind of you..Thanks you. Really need it... Then a rimfire one, I presume?. It is something very imporatant to offer one for this too.
