Ebay anomaly - selling barrels?
What is going on here then?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Remington-Model ... 0999961056
People in the USA appear to be selling rifle barrels on Ebay, I thought this was strictly against there selling rules.
Have things changed?

I noticed they were selling AR barrels and uppers a few days ago.
Re: Ebay anomaly - selling barrels?
I know they have a moral standing but I wonder if they have decided that they can not ignore all the reports of record firearm sales in the USA and feel that they are cutting their nose of to spite their face etc,

Re: Ebay anomaly - selling barrels?
Maybe .com and .co.uk each have their own rule set regarding barrels?
Anything firearms is not allowed on co.uk
Everytime I list a rod guide there is a 12-24 hour delay in the listing going public. I am also told in a big yellow box above the listing what is and what is not permitted to list.

It's .co.uk that's the problem.

I can log on to either, no idea if that is normal or something I set up, can I post items on the .com site and list the item for sale internationally?

It looks like co.uk has so far allowed the rod guide despite every single time having to scrutinise the listing just in case that this time the rod guide can actually fire something...
I am paying for the listing and yet it takes 12-24 hours for it to go live...bad customer service me thinks.
Anyway, I have a downer on eBay anyway, I just basically have a downer on anything that is big, automated and makes a zillion bucks every time I take a breath.

As far as I understand they are all interconnected and you should be able to post on the .com site in much the same as Amazon works.Dangermouse wrote:I can log on to either, no idea if that is normal or something I set up, can I post items on the .com site and list the item for sale internationally?

However, you might get sent back to the UK site or be restricted from buying items that the UK site has prohibited - I heard of both happening, but not experienced it myself.
