If you have concerns about the stock GT Shooting in Coulsden have a wooden stocked one its very very nice and I believe it has 4 mags with it, and the best bit is its £450
What is a Sapper? This versatile genius condenses the whole system of military engineering and all that is useful and practical. He is a man of all work of the Army and the public ready to do anything or go anywhere, in short, he is a Sapper.

Yes they did the SSG in a wooden stock. I have a shooting buddy who owns one and a damn fine rifle it is to. Shoots and handles really well. If its in good nick buy it. The wooden stock is genuine.

They did a single shot target rifle based on the SSG action, with a wooden stock as well.

KeV, when did you see the wood stocked version in GT?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Hello Occifer,

I'm not Kev (as you may remember): but when I saw him mention this last night I had a look on the shop website...
NOT GT = guntrader: GT was part of the name for the shop, GT Shooting...muppet!!

Oi, monkey, get back in ya tree!!

I'm fully aware of GT Shooting in Coulsdon, having previously worked close by to it for a couple of years and actually shopped there on occasion.

As you will also see, I said "IN" GT, as in GT Shooting, the shop, dropping the "Shooting" bit for brevity. Had I meant GT as in guntrader, I would have asked KeV "ON" GT, as in on the site....

So, my little PG Tips drinking, banana munching friend, you're wrong! LOL!

And BTW, have you finished my Taurus LBR holster yet?!!

Just been and viewed the ssg at GT and it's been wrecked. Some idiot has b****** a rail on the top. Proper amateur job the trigger guard is cracked and the stock is worse for wear. The mags look worse for wear too. Real pitty. Gutted as I really like the ssg now. But I want one with the wood stock and there rare to say the least.;(
