Apologies for the advertising, but this is only possible thanks to the rear locking of the INCH allowing a longer barrel shank and a larger barrel theads diameter. The two regiisters are close (ISO H7-g6) toleranced, and the threads inbetween only serves as what a thread is intended to do: tighten (threads are never totally self-centering). Also,the fact that, in a rear locking action, the bores are stepped up from rear to front allow to machine them in a single operation from the front, adding to the general concentricity...

The late Laurie Ingram, shooting an INCH proto in F-Class swapped barrels that way up to 3 times a shooting day with no zero shift.
