Chuck, I will say nothing :good:

R.G.C., Yes it is/was perfectly free, only used it a few times since it was fitted in March.

The bolt etc. is kept perfectly clean and always has a very light lube applied after being cleaned.

Heard back from Jeremy at Viking Arms (UK Distributor), they are collecting it for repair.

He's a pretty genuine guy - Viking Arms have always been reasonable with me in our dealings.
Purveyor of fine cast boolits.
All round good guy and VERY grumpy old man.

Just the usual CCI, they'd have to be made out of compressed Rottweilers to be able to snap a pin?

Posted a question about the pins to Henry in the US and got a reply back pretty quickly! :good:

They reckon it may have missed the heat treatment but would be unusual for 2 to have missed it. Could also be a problem with European primers (esp. S&B) being harder than Win or Rem, again unlikely as I don't shoot factory ammo and all I have used is CCI and Magtech standard LP primers.

Anyway, he has offered to send me the parts, not sure if they will ship directly to me here or have to go to Florida again.

Meanwhile I'll let Viking take a look at it and see if there's anything off with it, maybe the pins were short and the shaft was hitting the inside of the bolt face?.

EDIT

They are fast!, replied while I was typing this!. Couple of spares being put in the mail to me here, first class service!!

Should they had 'missed' heat treatment, the FP would have bent prior to breaking and friction scratches along the FP tip diameter would have appeared...

The "excuse" is not in favor of their QC procedures.....
