Why? did i do that shoot? scores were always naff :bad:

Was thinking of building a sooper dooper shooting mat - waterproof base, themal blanket, insulating closed cell dense foam 10mm thick, electric blanket, 2mm thin waterproof foam layer on top & a normal canvas & rubber elbows top all heat sealed up with 15 m wire & a 2.5KW genny in the back of the van at 600yds :shakeshout:

Would that breach range regs? ;)
Excellent idea. Then only want to rig up servo driven machine rest and a tv camera and you could shoot from the armchair by the fire. :good:

If you can get a vehicle near to your firing point, I can recommend an electrically heated jacket, as used by us hardy winter motorcyclists (cough, cough), 35W or thereabouts is quite enough to keep one comfortable and warm in all conditions. For a couple of hours, a well charged battery might suffice as the 12V supply. I have a Gerbings jacket with heated collar and sleeves, and it's fine on the bike down to single figure temperatures at double figure speeds for as long as the fuel lasts.
Careful now/that sort of thing

Gerbings jackets rock however do get the rheostat or try to keep your speed up as I fried in mine when I first used it without the heat control.
