I don't even know the make of the ones I've got. Bought them from the 'Fisherman's Co-op' in the village and if they're good enough for use on the fishing boats, then they're good enough for me! :D ;)

Aigle.......good for all-day walking, popular in France for hunting etc. I've had a neoprene lined pair for years, not cheap, but the quality is still there long after the tears over the price have dried............

Urhh! I only have a couple of days to get this sorted and still have not decided. No doubt this will be a last minute 'Dammit, these will have to do' thing.

Muckboots, how many times do you need to read it 8-) If you want wellies that can take a bashing and last a good long while then it's Muckboots.

I found the best welly was not actually a welly.

I use DeWalt rigger boots whenever I am in a Welly scenario. On their own they stay dry ( if dubbined regularly ) in muck and wet grass etc

For snow and extended use in the wet, I use ex-army goretex socks underneath.

Altogether more breathable and less sweaty than wellies.
