Recommend me some Wellies please.

I need some new Wellies for walking/shooting across the fields, I ran Gates Hunters for years however they eventually wore out at 20+ years old so I need something similar to see me out :)

Suggestions anyone?

I have some Seeland field boots. Cheap but bloody good. I was surprised but they have an excellent sole, 4mm neoprene and are well made. My shooting buddy is always jealous as his Hunters are really not a patch on them in the real world. (I.e. muddy field rather than town centres!)

Just under 50 quid if you shop around and genuinely good. Try some on.

A lot of people now say that Hunters are no where near as good as they were - maybe because of where they are now made.

When I was looking, I tried several different brands, Aigle, LeChameau, Dubarry and more. The shape of each brand was totally different and sometimes totally unwearable. I have finally gone for Aigle with wellies, a set of thigh waders and as te boots on my neoprene chest waders.

Try them on and see which brand fits best, then choose which of the range you want.

Harkila.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

I use Le Chameau Vierzonord... Big believer in you get what you pay for. Hunters are now made in China & as a result the quality has suffered.
