Here in Kent they have caught up on their back log and where as my last variation took nearly 5 months , I've been told the current expected turn around is about 2 weeks. So credit where its due.

In TVP, got the call from my FEO with a couple of queries. He seemed happy so now it goes back to the department to complete. In since 17 Jan, so not too bad of only a month.

I sent my licence in because of an almighty cock up on my part and got it back in 6 days with a little note of admonishment.

Its normally a week or so for our Force ......

In the days of handguns, they did variations while you waited.

James048 wrote:Hampshire has vastly improved over the last year or so and I've been really impressed. I remember a time about 3 years ago that it took 9 months to turn a variation around, and that's with no questions from either side. I did hear they had a major staff shortage and were recruiting back then. Looks like it worked.

My last variation was posted on a Monday and was back on the Saturday. Excellent service and my FEO is fantastic as well.
I am Hampshire. Exactly the same experience. They have made huge improvement, hopefully it continues.

5 weeks for Avon and Somerset, on the plus side they've granted me the extra slots, however my 22RF allowance is still 600 (about a months worth).

Going to ring tomorrow and see if that's a typo as I applied for 3000, or if I need to apply again with different wording ('multiple rifles, all like different ammunition for best accuracy, cant buy what my rifles like at any of my clubs' is a paraphrase of what I said for good reason)

3 or 4 days in North Norfolk. I think about the longest ever for me was about a week, and on the other end of the scale Iv'e had a couple back in just 2 days. So yeah pretty good.
