On my FAC, my .223 straight pull is listed as bolt action, my open slots are calibre and rifle only.

It's also gonna depend on what you ask for. I was given lots of duff gen by my club regarding what you had to put, what you were allowed, and other gumf. Because of this my initial application had me asking for slots and stating the action type rather than just the calibre and 'rifle'.

If I had just stated .223 rifle, I would have got that on my 'to acquire'. Instead I was given info 20 years out of date for the area.

Mine just says guns. Authorised to buy fifty guns. Doesn’t say calibre.

I have a few Straight Pull/Bolt Action rifles listed on my FAC, it depends on who you buy from, as to what the rifle is listed under. I bought 2 rifles from the same dealer 2 months apart he listed the first one BA, the other he asked me what I wanted it put down as so I said SP.
In Essex it's the same as others have said the slot is for a rifle.

Same Same; authority to purchase rifle, once purchased Bolt-action (straight pull)
Got two & half straight pulls; one & half 5.56/.223 & one 7.62. ;)

Durham used to insist on you specifying and them writing the action type on the variation/grant form but they seem to have fallen in line with most other forces now and just specify the calibre and firearm type e.g. rifle, shotgun, long barrelled pistol etc.

Whenever a straight-pull actually goes onto the Possessed part of the FAC mine has always said 'bolt-action'. The force next to me always puts 'straight-pull' 8-)
