Anyone planning on going tomorrow (Sunday) I have an early bird ticket going for £12. (Think it's £15 at the gate) Can meet you at the main gate.

Attended the Saturday show.

Easy parking, good crowd control, numerous food outlets and good clean toilets.

Plenty of kit on display and sellers with time to talk. A bit light on reloading kit but I managed to find all I wanted at prices equivalent to online / shop prices.

Quite impressive, as was the blonde goddess over in the far corner of hall number 1 :o

I got there at about 11 on Saturday. There was some traffic but no real dramas. Easy parking on grass (glad it wasn’t a wet day though....).
Lots of local police forces there doing variations, and one was even doing interviews for applications as well.
I really enjoyed it even though I only bought a pair of trousers!

It is disappointing though when you visit a dealer who you’ve recently spent over £5k with (face to face) and he hadn’t got a clue who you are where as the place I only visit once every few months to buy some ammunition remembers me by name every time. Sorry, that’s nothing to do with the show!

Us was there was we. Arrived at 22:00 on Saturday to provide overnight cover on a stand and then stayed on to lend a paw all day Sunday. We think it is a great show - very spacious, lots of opportunities to shoot stuff (rifles, shotties, air rifles, bows and even airsoft. The show isn't overwhelmed with stands selling dogfood, posh coats, off-road pushchairs and pictures of cats either. Just a good, simple, gun oriented show...

Plenty of nice oomans came to our stand and chatted to us about our display. Our local plod were there and sorted some variations for us in less than 10 minutes.

Great day out...

We got there about 9 today, no traffic dramas to be had. Had a go at the NTSA steel plate challenge soon as shooting commenced and was advised to have a few beers and then come back later.
Mooched through the stands and found my mate a .243, got my BASC sorted out, had a few beers and then back to the NTSA.
My time was probably worthy of top ten, but makes no difference as my mate was fastest and won himself the Breda B12i shotgun. Best part was at £4 a go I had loaned him £2 for his final winning attempt, so technically I am now part owner of a fine Italian shotgun.

Well we enjoyed our visit, we arrived this morning at 0845 and drove straight in and parked more or less opposite the main gate.

Plenty of room to walk about and see stuff the only fly in our ointment was we were wanting one of Brian Fox's scope but despite being listed on the website as an exhibitor he wasn't wallhead I guess we should have called him first

We were very impressed with the Form laminate stocks, so I think we've decided on a new stock for the next rifle whenever that is.

Went on Saturday, started queuing in traffic at 9.27am and eventually arrived on sight a few miles later at 10.55pm!!!!

Apart from that ejoyed the show - good venue (about from getting there - its the same when I've been to Great Yorkshire show); plenty trade stands although I find there are more and more importers/distributers who are displaying their wares but not selling to the public; a few places had run out of stock of what we after by 11.30am!! Met some old friends I had not seen for some time and it was nice weather.

We went today. A good show all round and it seemed to have grown slightly from last year.
One slightly surreal/WTF moment though....
My mate had his eye on an M2 but didn't have a slot. He was told by the vendor that plod will do a variation there and then and he can come back and buy it.
Off we go in search of West Yorks plod which we find quickly amongst a line of plods from North, South and West Yorks.
My mate asks for a variation to which he gets the reply "yes, just fill that form in and we should have it back to you in 8 weeks" wtf
He explains he was told that the variations were done there and then hence plod being there in the first place.
Not us was the reply, we don't have the technology like North and South Yorks to do such things, in fact we cant even give you a pen to fill the form cos we don't have any pens!
What we do have though are a large stack of photocopied cartoon characters which you can take and colour in but don't take the crayons as they are the only ones we have. wtf
When I tell you this I am not kidding one iota, it was surreal and on later reflection we were convinced they were doing it on purpose just to show how bad West Yorks is compared to the rest of the licencing departments.
The pulled beef sarnie was nice too but at 6 quid should have been teanews
So we came away with no additions to the cabinet, fatter bellies and a mild acid trip flashback :D

That body stocking she was wearing was a bit .................. :o . Lots of people getting selfies with her .

Apart from that it was a dammed good show , much better that the British .

Next year at the British might be different , I hear that Sportsmans are thinking of taking a row of stands there .
