The brass pings about 8ft vertically up in the air, it literally rains brass. It's exciting... who cares about the cost.

We all know what they are capable of, same as the lever release ones but no one wants to put these in a bad light by filming semi auto mag dumps. Slow, steady, accurate :squirrel: .

Meh, if you put enough lead down range you'll hit the target in the end :good:

If anyone has a 'secret' video of one of these being put though its paces, please PM me!

There is such a video early on in this thread of the rifle being tested in the Czech republic Blackstuff with lead bing sent down range at high speed. It would be enough to send the anti's and ACPO (back in the day) hysterical!

I agree that it has to be carful softly softly with this one guys, we get something that sorts out the extraction issues of straight pulls or another ban.

My guess is if nobody makes a fuss about these then a year down the line everybody will be doing similar stuff with the current crop of straight pulls to keep them competitive. It would be interesting to see what the likes of Lantac or Armalon could do with various AR15 or Steyr AUG based solutions. That is only the starting point. how about FAL and AK based solutions, now the creative genie is out of the bottle and the Vz.58 has been shown to handle more potent cartridges then the 9mm we could be at the cusp of a really interesting creative period for UK gun design.

I wonder what Southern Gun Companies response will be, given the choice between their 9mm AR15 derived solution and the Vz.58 that take .223 and 7.62x39 I know where I would want my money.

In some ways I regret being an early adopter for the straight pull Vz.58 now...hey ho!

Fat Bob has already dropped the over inflated price of the LRA9 back down from £2300 to £1978, considering they were £1400 to start with he's obviously just been keeping prices in line with inflation and not trying to cash in while he had the market to himself!.

Wonder if he'll knock £3000 off the .223 to match the VZ58MARS? (somehow I doubt it!).

I noticed yesterday that someone has posted the VZ58 video from the Czech republic on YouTube, if the doo gooders clap eyes on it I think there will be trouble.

I get zero extraction problems with my SVDS and AK's.
