Where can stuff be ferritic nitrocarburised though? I'd love to get a barrel done as it's supposed to make barrel life far far longerlapua338 wrote:A little bit jealous!
I've always really wanted one of these.
Once the barrel is shot out it would make an interesting project... rebarrelled and chambered in 260 Rem, new trigger guard and bottom metal to accept AI magazines, all the metalwork ferritic nitrocarburised (or Cerakoted in an appropriate colour [H-226 Patriot Brown?]), and the stock in H-267 Magpul Flat Dark Earth.
I've got too much time on my hands fantasizing about guns.

Well when mine is shot out I will swap you the whole thing with two 5 round magazines and 2 ten round magazines for a Remington 700 action.lapua338 wrote:

Nice rifle.
Here is mine - only fired less than 30 rds from new when I got it last year.

It came with the McMillan stock and I added the Styria bottom metal. And the Bradley Arms muzzle brake.
Managed a 2nd place in the McQueens at the Phoenix with it.

Alpha1, I would take the rifle and your arm off for that. In fact, I will put your name on a Rem700 action for the day it is shot out.Alpha1 wrote:Well when mine is shot out I will swap you the whole thing with two 5 round magazines and 2 ten round magazines for a Remington 700 action.
Got enough bullets?

Re: Steyr SSG 69 P1
200 or 300 yards/metres here in the UK and we shoot similar at 600m in Denmark.
Re: Steyr SSG 69 P1
I bet its a Tack driver at 200/300 yards it will cope with that distance very well I would of thought.
Re: Steyr SSG 69 P1
Breacher, that is a good looking rifle, is it the P2?
