The ARs have a huge advantage compared to say SKS or SLRs in terms of accuracy, and the lighter calibre speeds recovery from recoil, so eventually I realised I was never going to get into the upper half of the pack without one.
I have shot the C7, C8 and C8SFW, oh and the C7LSW and they remain amongst my favourites when it comes to the AR type platforms. Fine rifles :good:

Please just let people buy and shoot whatever they like, if you see a thread about a rifle you don't like then please allow people the freedom to discuss it without having their thread derailed.
Yep we'll said. And when challenged you get something along the lines of "Hey, enjoy what you want, I don't care...." when it's pretty obvious that they DO care. The rifle goes bang when you pull the trigger like a real AR but won't cycle, so isn't worth it to some people. OK great, we've got it.

No you have not got it.
I don't give a toss what you shoot you are the only ones getting up tight about your AR pretend guns.
They are not AR rifles but I don't care. I really don't care. I really don't care what you do with your spare time its of no consequence to me as long as I don't have to own one its fine. If you feel the need to acquire and shoot one great. You can throw bricks down range as far as I'm concerned its your money do what you like with it. As long as you don't expect me to buy and shoot one that's fine. Crack on.

As I said previously our Club guns were Lantacs in different calibers we sold them and bought better and more interesting guns.

Did a little reserach on the POF roller cam pins, and it seemed like they were meant for piston uppers. In case of a DI upper with a gas key, the gas key has to be taken off to mount/ diassemble the roller cam pin. That's not optimal for maintenance. Another option I found, that maybe could have worked, is the Hydra-Fire Roller Cam Pin, which can be assembled/ disassembled on regular bolt carriers.
You don't need the whole gas key, if you don't have DI.

Bonus video.

The AR doesn't stand for automatic rifle ! Not technically not a pretend gun

Yes they are real guns but in the UK the legislation means that only pretendy ARs are available to UK gun owners.

I would appreciate if you started an own thread about "real AR's vs. pretendy AR's", or "vs. bolt action" or vs. [put in whatever]. In this thread I actually want to discuss manual AR's. In my opinion they are cool, and what matters? 1) Scores on target, and 2) Looking cool. I fix the first one and the AR handles the second one. Straight pull or not, this is what I need in my life. Appreciate your understanding. :)

If possible I would like to keep the extra side charge bolt carrier as a spare for my DI's. :D By the way lots of cool videos on your YouTube channel. cheers

I think you will find that it is a feature of F-BUK that threads tend to expand from the subject. It does no harm.

Good luck in your search.

Well, it's normal on every forum that the thread expands from the subject. It is also very normal inside the shooting community to frown upon people who participate in other kinds of shooting than themselves. One grows a thicker skin by the years, but it's still not a fruitful practice. I just want to shoot my gun, you just want to shoot your gun, everyone is happy.

I don't see anyone "frowning" on anyones preference for firearms. Exploring the differences more like.
