£5k for any rifle is serious money.
I'm waiting to see what the VZ58 from Caledonian shoots like.

And the honourable eyes have yet to settle on this particular hazard I suspect. I'd not want that sort of money at a politician's whim, lest they change their tiny mind tomorrow, and make it valueless.John MH wrote:Doesn't the Home Secretary retain the right to ban anything that they may think is particularly dangerous in their eyes.
Careful now/that sort of thing
Re: Southern Gun Company 5.56mm Lever release.
Played with a SGC .223 Gas Piston operated Lever Release on Thursday last near Bodmin. I was reasonably impressed with the operation and the feel of the trigger, it has no empty magazine bolt hold open catch due to the design changes needed to the bespoke AR lower, the safety catch operation is on the RHS only. There are changes to the takedown pin hole spacing and profile changes to the upper and lower that make swapping parts between a standard lower and upper impossible. For what I would use it for it seemed to be ideal although I would like to see a longer barrel offered as they are currently only built with 16” 1 in 8 twists, I’d prefer either 18” or 20”. There are plans to do another run of them if there is sufficient interest for delivery around Dec 14, price tag still very hefty though but I’m sure they’ll sell.
