And its intention was to hold the muzzle down when firing a 7.62x39 or 45acp on full auto - I can see the need there.

Maybe you need help controlling the ferocious muzzle flip on your single shot 5.56 then ? bangbang

Na, I'd fire it single handedly to be honest, if I had one. I have to settle for shooting the mosin with my left hand and sideways, gangsta style
