Ah, that would be Gaz then, he has suggested in a recent article that lever release and MARS type firearms may fall foul of the proposed EU ban.
I don’t think there’s any S1 shotties out there fed by detachable magazines a la AR-15s, but if there are, owners may be at risk in the future.
Interesting also that he is not aware of S1 box fed shotguns. This is not a criticism of the author or his article either, it highlights just how polarised our sport has become with some within individual disciplines not being aware of alternatives. Sad really that we have the potential to become our own worst enemy and it reminds me of the Dromia mantra Unity, Unity Unity.
My concern is if we all decide something is at risk or illegal the powers may well be very confirm this and it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. It reminds me of the sudden panic over the Amax within the FELWG a few years ago and that came from a member of the trade!

My thoughts exactly David.

Going slightly off topic here.....
I wonder just how many shooters were duped into voting to leave because of all the hype about being free of EU gun legislation? The reality is that we are still going to be affected for years to come.
I voted to stay..... I wonder how many others now wish they had done the same?

EU firearm legislation had nothing to do with my vote to leave and I've no regrets what so ever. As has been said earlier in the thread our legislation (with all its faults) is some of the most restrictive around, politicians (should they wish to do so in the absence of serious levels of gun crime associated with legally held firearms) will try to curtail the sport by forcing up the cost of certification where ever possible.

It isn't the link that you need to watch out for but the dubious journalism it leads to.
To be fair there is only dubious journalism everywhere now though so this site is only running with its peers in self serving sensationalism..

I don't think there's much to worry about. Firstly there's no way the EU is going to allow Britain 2 years to complete Article 50. Secondly, a good trade deal with Britain is more in the EU's favour than Britain's. Lastly, there are rumblings the EU could activate Article 7 to force Britain's hand.

Last year the EU forced Britain to lend Greece £600 million, which will never be paid back in full, if at all. It's in our interest to get out of the EU pronto...
I'm not in the slightest bit concerned about this.

Zero. Everyone I've spoken to who voted for BREXIT was very well read on the subject. If only the same could be said for those who voted to remain.

Completely agree with Dromia re the "dubious Journalism" I wish the writers would consider more carefully the potential outcomes of their words of wisdom.
From a purely personal point of view, I had listed my SGC LR9 for sale, before I was aware of this piece sensationalism, I had a number of genuine enquiries all of whom have
now backed out. All based on a paragraph in an article that, as far as I can see, has absolutely no basis in fact.
I guess I will be keeping the gun.
Really, really annoying.
Rant over.
