Problem folks is that these things need to be built from the ground up as Section One, if you can find any new receivers (never been fitted to a semi-auto rifle or select fire rifle) for a Garand, the whole list of AK dreivatives, Lewis Guns or Brens you'll be lucky. I imagine part of the reason these MARS rifles are so expensive, given than a surplus VZ.58 is 75 Euro, is that they are made specifically for this MARS project and are not recycled or off the shelf receivers. I'm sure they will be popular though so good luck to Caledonian

Within the realms of the rifles already available to us, I'd say the following rifles and in the following order:

1) AR-15 - It's an obvious cash cow, people love it and you can accessorise it to death. A billet receiver would be best with a wide selection of rails please!
2) FAL/SLR - Everyone loves it and as they say it's the right arm of the free world. IMBEL have supplied new receivers to the UK before.
3) M14 - It's iconic and LuxDefTec have newly manufactured Springfield Armory copies of these which are UK S1.

AK variants are a real possibility too.

Bren, Garand, M1 Carbine, SLR, AK series, any semi-auto of decent reliability would be amazing to have in the MARS system, it's a great step forward and I seriously cannot praise Caledonia enough for this.

The first 5 I listed though, mainly because F*** Yeah!

Something in .45 ACP please happy with either VZ or AR style. I got a slot for a new .45 last week with the intention of getting a SGC L/R but if you could do one :shakeshout: .................
