Fox scope

#1 Post by Dannywayoflife »

I've just taken delivery of a fox 8-32x50 scope I have optically zeroed and mounted the scope. It's really good for the money. My only gripe is there's only 17moa eitherside of the optical zero on the windage and the turrets don't match the stadia on the scope is this normal?

"and the turrets don't match the stadia on the scope is this normal?"

so are the turrets in MOA and the reticule some other measure eg Mildot?

No the lines that are supposed to show where you are are not actually where the turrets are so the turret goes way over the Xmas tree thing and won't bottom it out if you see what I mean?

I'm curious to know why would you need more than 17 MOA of windage? That seems quite a lot to me. To be honest I would be thinking of packing it in for the day if the wind was moving my POI 17 inches at 100yds, but then again I do live down South....

I'm just concerned that I might use up a lot of adjustment actually zeroing and then have very little to one side if you see what I mean?
Other than that though the glass is very clear for the money!

Possible but it should be pretty central if your mounts are decent.

How much was the scope? Wondering about acquiring one myself.

I'd also be interested to know how well it holds zero.
Careful now/that sort of thing

That bought from Fox Firearms UK?

No prices listed on their website & my calls weren't answered the 2 times I called.
